 Welcome to Hillcrest Blueberry Farm, the largest blueberry farm in all of Louisiana! Located in Desoto Parish just a mile South of Gloster, we are a family owned blueberry farm offering u-pick and we-pick berries. We have 77 acres of producing berries on our farm and we have recently added another 62 acres of blueberries to expand our production.
Originally a dairy farmer, owner John Alexander, decided to trade dairy for berries after his son Chris Alexander read an article in the Mansfield Enterprise newspaper back in 1992 about the profitability of blueberries. It didn't take long for the idea to take root. By fall 1992, John and his son Chris had 30,000 blueberry plants in the ground. Making the switch has proven to be a fruitful decision for the Alexander family. Chris took over the farm after his father retired in 2006 and now operates the largest blueberry farm in Louisiana with more than half a million pounds harvested each year.
 Hillcrest Blueberry Farm specializes in fresh fruit sales, but also sells Grade A frozen berries and Grade B frozen berries. Fruit is mechanically harvested and processed in a state-of-the-art facility.
